Whether
your guests are dry red wine drinkers, or love sweet white wine, Kinkead
Ridge is happy to work with you directly or with your caterer to supply
our outstanding, award-winning, ultra-premium, estate-grown Ohio wines
for your wedding. Call Nancy at (937) 392-1178 and tell us your plans.
We are very proud of our Ohio terroir. Our wines are on wine lists
throughout the state in fine restaurants and on wine shelves in wine
stores with the best California, Australian and French wines, and have
won awards in international wine competitions such as the American Wine
Society.
Here
are some recommendations from Natalie MacLean about wine for weddings.
-
Calculate your
quantity. The average guest consumes about one to two drinks per
hour. A bottle of wine contains about five drinks and a bottle of
bubbly contains four.
-
Match
the meal. Choose versatile wines that are food friendly and appeal
to many palates. The best choices are neither too light or too
heavy.
-
Celebrate the bride
and groom's history. Personalize the wine choice by selecting those
made in the country where they (or their ancestors) were born, or
perhaps where they met or live.
-
Raise
a glass of liquid pearls. Champagne from France isn't the only
bubbly suitable for a wedding toast. Look for sparkling wines from
North America, Australia, New Zealand, Spain and Italy as well.
They're delicious too and often less than half the price of
champagne.
