2008 Calendar

The winery will be closed this summer.

Due to the 2007 Easter frost that decimated the white grapes in the vineyard, we will not be participating in the normal number of festivals around the state. We will not be attending the following events this year: Dayton Wine Festival, 2nd Street Market; A Taste of Duveneck, Cincinnati Art Museum; no winegrower dinners are scheduled.

We will be open on the dates below:

Memorial Day Saturday, May 24 and Monday, May 26
2007 White Wine Release
Quantities are very limited to the Easter frost of 2007. This may be your only opportunity to purchase this vintage, consisting of 2007 Riesling and 2007 white Revelation (predominantly Roussanne).

Labor Day Saturday, August 30 and Monday, September 1
2006 Red Wine Release and Annual Vineyard Tour
Releasing 2006 Kinkead Ridge red Revelation, 2006 River Village Cellars Cabernet Franc, 2006 River Village Syrah

September 6
Winery open for the last Saturday before harvest begins

Saturday after Thanksgiving
Annual Barrel Tasting

March 21st at Krohn Conservatory in Eden Park

Nicholas Longworth (think Longworth Hall in Mt Adams) was the first to grow grapes in the area, inadvertently creating the Ohio River Valley appellation. The session at Krohn conservatory provides a historical context for our thriving wine area and includes tastings from 9 different local wineries.
